Ziad Elsahili is the President of Fortify Holdings and brings his experience/background in both real estate and finance to the company. Ziad is intimately involved in all day-to-day operations and leads the organization in acquiring, financing, developing and managing clean and safe apartment communities throughout the Pacific Northwest. Ziad has led the acquisition and re-development of more than 4,000 apartment homes across five states, more than half of which are former hotels that have been converted to housing. Ziad has also led numerous public-private partnerships between Fortify Holdings, government agencies and non-profit organizations. Prior to stepping into the leadership role at Fortify Holdings, Ziad worked for PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC) for six years, serving clients across multiple industries in both Assurance and Management Consulting services. Ziad studied at the University of Oregon where he received his Bachelor of Science in Accounting with an Economics minor. Ziad holds a CPA license in the state of Oregon
Vice President of Construction
Gabe Miller is the Vice President of Construction of Fortify Holdings, providing the company with extensive construction knowledge and leadership through a process driven approach. Gabe provides general oversight of all new builds, renovations, and property maintenance. Prior to his time with Fortify Holdings, Gabe spent six years managing a wide range of complex construction projects for a Portland based commercial General Contractor. Gabe earned his bachelor’s degree in Construction Engineering Management from Oregon State University.
Vice President of Finance and Accounting
Shannon has been providing the company with financial management since 2006. In addition to overseeing the accounting and financial processes of Fortify Holdings, Shannon manages human resources, payroll and risk management. After graduating from Montana State University with a Bachelor of Science in Accounting, Shannon went to work for Moss Adams where she earned her CPA with a focus in manufacturing, banking and hospitality industries. Shannon has previous employment experience in accounting system implementation and consulting before bringing her accounting acumen to Fortify Holdings, LLC.
Ryanne ElAzma is the Asset Manager for Fortify Holdings. The role entails day to day involvement in ensuring that the management company is executing all the goals and parameters that owners of the particular properties have designated. Ryanne has worked in this role for over 25 years. Prior, she worked at Price WaterHouse LLC as an auditor. Ryanne received her Bachelor of Science in Accounting.
Kelly McIntosh is an Asset Manager for Fortify Holdings, specializing in third-party property management and residential operations. With a portfolio of 17+ assets, Kelly directs day-to-day operations, financial performance, market analysis, budget development and provides oversight to ensure ownership goals and directives are being met at the property level. Prior to joining Fortify Holdings, Kelly was a Regional Manager of Operations with a nationally-recognized property management firm, as well as holding several other roles within residential property management since 2005. Kelly currently holds an active Oregon Real Estate Broker license.
Phil Batchelor is the Acquisitions Manager of Fortify Holdings and provides extensive experience in finance and real estate acquisition. Since joining the team in 2016, Phil identifies and evaluates potential investments and financing options. Before joining the Fortify Holdings team, Phil worked for an apartment ownership group and as a commercial loan officer. He attended the University of Oregon.
Nancy Cushman is an Investment Analyst at Fortify Holdings. Nancy provides financial reporting and analysis on the entity and investor level. Prior to joining Fortify in 2016, Nancy spent her career supporting finance and business systems in multiple industries. Nancy studied at San Diego State University where she received her Bachelor of Science Degree in Finance.
Mike manages construction renovations as the company acquires new assets, oversees capital improvement projects and works with our rental management company on daily maintenance issues/projects. Mike began working for the company in 2007 as a Superintendent/Field Manager of a private horse polo club, then transitioned in the off-season months to manage construction projects. He has also managed new construction of single-family homes, multi-family homes, repair addendums for sales on single and multi-family homes. Prior to working here, he was in the Turf Management field and spent 17 years as an Assistant Superintendent of a 36-hole public/private golf club.
